Founded in 1982, HAQ Publishing Limited began by producing Chamber of Commerce Business Directories, Council Manuels-Directories-Newsletters, Manuals and In-house magazines for Government departments, Sports programmes to mention but a few. In short, a wide range of publications that quickly established our presence in the publishing industry.
With the ongoing success of these publications, we decided to utilize our expertise and branch out into the public market, producing business to business directories. We first launched the Classic, Veteran and Vintage Car Directory, swiftly followed by directories for Motorcycles, IT, Logistics, Antiques, Collectables, Memorabilia, Boats and Watersports, Sports and Entertainment and Leisure. With the onset of global web and internet technology, we then supported each hard copy directory with its own website, giving all our advertisers the benefit of 24 hour exposure at a very cost effective price. (Customers also have an option to self-edit their web entry, and invaluable facility for many of our customer).
Two years ago, following months of negotiation, our directories were accepted, and are now distributed through the Independent Newsagents network all over the country. With a shelf price of £2.99 sales continue to flourish on a national basis. This distribution is further supported by our all-year-round attendance at shows and exhibitions throughout the UK, where thousands more of our directories reach businesses, the general publics and future customers of our customers!
Given today's technologies and the world wide web, we here at HAQ have never underestimated it's potential. Nor do we underestimate the value of hard copy publications. Our success, and our customers success, bears testimony that this dual option is both powerful and far-reaching.
HAQ's near future plans will see the launch of a further four directories, again with full website support. We will also be opening a new office to co-ordinate information and look after customers we now hold on our geographically expanding database.

We have now established a professional approach to producing these directories and we have plans for many new titles in coming years.
